There are no dark nights in summer, and on 21 June the day is 21 hours and 8 minutes long, and still: civil twilight for the rest of the night! That means the sun just shortly hovers below the horizon during “nighttime”!

We will stop at a scenic spot on the glacier with stunning views. Here you can enjoy at our Glacier pop-up Cafe – hot cocoa, coffee or tea, and Kleinur (an Icelandic pastry).
Our knowledgeable and local guides will lead you through this stunning natural wonder. Listen to interesting facts about glaciers, hear authentic stories of the Icelandic Highlands, and dive into the fascinating world of Nordic Mythology.

Location: Make your way to Road 35 and find the upper parking area of Gullfoss Waterfall. Right there, you’ll spot the ‘Gullfoss – Panorama Restaurant – Cafe – Shop’. If you happen to park in the lower area, no worries! Just head back to the main road and take a right turn uphill. Here’s a map to help you: Google Maps Link
Meeting Time: Please be at the meeting point by 15 minutes prior to departure.
Vehicles to Look for: Our transfer bus is located close to the Sleipnir meeting point sign at the parking lot close to the road of Gullfoss Cafe.
Beginning: Transfer to our main base where we keep the trucks. Once aboard the Sleipnir Monster Glacier Truck, pick one of the comfortable seats. Our adventure’s about to begin!
Stories Along the Way: From start to finish, our guides will keep you entertained with glacier knowledge and folklore. Their tales are as captivating as the scenery outside.
Traveling to the Glacier: We’ll travel along the highland road to Langjökull, the ‘Long Glacier’. Every turn reveals a new, beautiful sight. This location was challenging to reach in the past, but with our Monster Glacier Truck, we can get there safely.
Fun on the Glacier: Soak up the atmosphere of the Langjökull Glacier, enjoy the view and play Glacier Golf* and/or sled* down the snowy hill. Remember: you are standing on the second-largest glacier in Iceland!
Experience: the longest day of the year on top of a Glacier!
Refresh & Refuel: After some exploring, there will be time for a little break. Enjoy drinks like hot cocoa and tea and try Kleina, a traditional Icelandic pastry.
Take a sip of Jökla with your hot cocoa, an Icelandic made cream liqueur made with Icelandic milk and pure Icelandic water.
Pictures Time: The stunning beauty all around is worth capturing. You’ll have a chance to snap some photos to remember these epic moments!
Journey’s End: We end right where we began, at Gullfoss Waterfall. Take a deep breath, think about the awesome day, and maybe tell a friend or two about it.
