Departing from Reykjavík, this expedition targets the Þórisjökull glacier and the mountains just beyond the city’s reach. We navigate past the vertical cliffs of Hvalfjörður and the elusive Cascata di Glymur before heading toward the ice. The flight also traces the skyline of the Skjaldbreiður volcano and the ENTRAMingvellir rift valley, allowing you to see the fracture in the earth where the tectonic plates continue their slow divide.

Calzature: Sturdy hiking or winter boots are recommended, as our landings often take place on uneven mountain terrain or snow.
Layers: We suggest wearing several warm layers regardless of the season.
Cabin Comfort: The helicopter is heated; you are welcome to store large winter coats in our baggage compartment during the flight.
