Out on the North Atlantic ocean the coastline of Reykjavík is one of the best places on Earth to view the Northern Lights. There’s no better way to experience this natural phenomenon than on a boat.

Hunting the northern lights on the North Atlantic ocean is an amazing experience. Sailing away from the coastline of Reykjavik and seeing the Aurora Borealis out on the ocean with beautiful mountains and the city in the background is something to remember.

If you added pick-up service to your tour the car will be there 45 minutes before departure.

The tour takes place in wild nature, sightings cannot be predicted or guaranteed. If there are no sightings on the tour, we do not offer refunds but instead, we offer our passengers a free return to join our tour depending on availability or receive a voucher valid for up to three years.

We recommend all guests dress warmly in layers and good footwear it is always colder on the water and don´t forget your camera

Meet at the Harbor
- Koma kl Reykjavík’s Old Harbour 30 minutes before departure.
- Check in, meet your expert guide, and receive a short safety briefing.
Boarding & Departure
- Step aboard a comfortable, stable boat equipped for Northern Lights viewing.
- Sail out into the North Atlantic, leaving the city lights behind for a clearer view of the sky.
Searching for the Aurora Borealis
- Admire the twinkling lights of Reykjavík from the water.
- If the aurora appears, enjoy a spectacular light show with the city skyline and mountains as a backdrop.
Return to the Harbor
- Eftir 1.5–2 hours at sea, sail back to Reykjavík’s Old Harbour.
