Perched on the cliffs above Húsavík harbour, GeoSea's three infinity pools draw mineral-rich geothermal seawater with sweeping views of the Arctic Ocean.

GeoSea opened in 2018 on the Húsavíkurhöfði cliffs overlooking Skjálfandi Bay and the Arctic Ocean. Three chemical-free infinity pools are filled from two coastal geothermal boreholes with naturally heated seawater at temperatures between 36°C and 40°C. The mineral-rich water is said to benefit skin and circulation.

The setting is exceptional: from the pools, guests look out over the bay where whale-watching boats operate, with a panorama that stretches to the mountains of the northern coastline. On clear nights the northern lights are sometimes visible. The facility includes changing rooms, a poolside bar, and a restaurant.

GeoSea is open year-round, with summer hours from noon to midnight. Entry is around 5,000–6,000 ISK for adults; online booking is recommended in high season. Húsavík itself is charming, with Iceland’s best whale-watching tours departing from the same harbour.
