Reykjavík Botanical Garden
The outdoor collection of living plants in Reykjavík!
In 1961, the Botanic Garden was founded by the City of Reykjavík. The idea was to create a space with living plants and conserve them over the years for education, research, and pleasure. The plant collections include over 3000 different species and are plants that grow and conserve in the Icelandic temperature.
The entrance is free and 30-minute tours are available in English every Friday in the summertime at 12:40 pm.
You will find a cute café called Flóran Café/Bistro in the greenhouse and it opens during summer. Some of the things you will find here are grown in the garden!
