Landakot Church
The Cathedral of Christ the King
Landakotskirkja was built in 1929 by Guðjón Samúelsson, the same architect who designed Hallgrímskirkja, and Akureyrarkirkja in Akureyri. The difference between the other churches is the flat top it has. Normally, they will have a spiral.
This is a Catholic Church from the Roman Catholic with a neo-gothic architectural style. The church apart from being opened for worship and regular masses celebrated, also hosts concerts and other events in the city.
The church offers services in Icelandic, English, Spanish, and Polish depending on the days of the week and hours.
