Höfn
The Lobster Capital
Höfn is a fishing and coastal village in Southeastern Iceland with a population of approximately 2,000 people. The town is located in in a natural harbor, and it is part of the Ring Road route, between the South Coast and the Eastfjords.
According to historical data, it is believed that Irish monks settled before the Vikings in 870 AD/CE. It only became a town in 1988. And recognized as the fishing industry, Höfn in the Lobster Capital. Every July the Lobster Festival is held in this town, and it makes Höfn a particular place with a spectacular cuisine when it comes to cooking and eating lobster.
