Hoffell Hot Tubs are four outdoor geothermal tubs set in the valley of Hoffell, 15 km from the town of Höfn on Iceland’s southeast coast. The tubs are fed by a natural geothermal source and sit beneath the Arnarbæli cliff, looking directly across the valley to the ice tongues of Hoffellsjökull, one of Vatnajökull’s southern outlet glaciers.
The combination of warm water and glacier scenery is hard to beat — particularly at dusk when the ice takes on a blue-pink glow. The facility is small and peaceful, with a sauna, bar, and changing rooms on site. Guests staying at the adjacent Glacier World guesthouse have complimentary access.
Entry costs approximately 3,500 ISK for adults (children under 8 free). The tubs are open daily, typically 10:00–21:00 (slightly shorter hours in winter). Advance booking via glacierworld.is is recommended in summer.
