Glymur Waterfall
The second-tallest waterfall in Iceland
With a 198 meter cascade, Glymur is the second tallest waterfall in the country and it is located in West Iceland. As a horsetail type of cascade, it keeps contact with the hard rock behind it as it surges down to the pool. Glymur makes part of the Botnsdalur Valley known as Hvalfjörður.
It is very popular to take the route and hike towards Glymur. It is 5km long, including the river crossing and a slight climbing (nothing difficult).
