Enjoy a 1-hour horseback riding tour through the Icelandic countryside, followed by a meet-and-greet with friendly farm animals on our small-group experience.

Start your adventure with a 1-hour horseback riding tour! We'll begin in our riding hall, where you'll meet your riding horse and receive instruction on the basics. Then we'll head outside to explore the stunning Icelandic countryside together.

Our horses are safe, well-trained, and possess a smooth Tölt gait. Suitable for both beginners and experienced riders—everyone is welcome! Children must be at least 6 years old; those under 8 will be guided by our experienced staff members.

After your ride, meet our friendly farm animals, including Icelandic horses, sheep, goats, chickens, cats, and our friendly dog. Our qualified guides will share fascinating information about these settlement animals and their history. You'll have the opportunity to interact with them, pet them, and take photos.

With small group sizes, you'll benefit from personal attention and have the space to truly connect with the animals, our guides, and the breathtaking scenery.

Dress according to the weather. A warm jacket or overcoat, good shoes, comfortable pants (riding pants are not necessary), a hat, gloves, and neckwear are recommended. Warm, long underwear, if possible (to protect against chafing).
If you want to bring a camera, please bring a small waist bag, as backpacks cannot be taken on horseback.

- Arrival at Vorsabær 2 and welcome by your host.
- Safety briefing and riding instructions.
- Small-group 1-hour horseback ride along the farm’s countryside trails.
- Guided farm visit, including meeting the horses and other farm animals.
- Introduction to daily farm life and animal care.
- Return to the farmyard at the end of the experience.

Arrival at the farm, guided farm visit, safety briefing, small-group horseback ride, and return to Vorsabær 2.

Please note

Riding helmets are mandatory and provided free of charge.
Riders must be able to mount and dismount a horse with minimal assistance.
The maximum rider weight is 110 kg (240 lb).
Used boots, riding wear, saddlebags, etc., must be disinfected before arriving in Iceland, as infectious diseases can easily be introduced into the country and pose a serious threat to horses. Riding gear is typically washed, and shoes, helmets, and safety vests are cleaned with iodine or another disinfectant. Used riding gloves and all used leather items (e.g., chaps) are not permitted.
Tours may be canceled due to unsafe conditions, such as ice or strong winds. In such cases, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
