This tour is perfect for both beginners and those with more experience, as we can adjust the pace to suit your comfort level, whether you prefer to go slowly or a bit faster.

Small groups – Personal service!

We operate with small groups to ensure personal service! You will enjoy a wonderful horseback riding experience in Iceland’s countryside.

We always start in our riding hall, where you'll meet your horse and learn the basics of riding. After that, we head outside to explore, riding the unique Icelandic horse through its stunning natural landscape.

We have safe, well-trained horses suitable for both inexperienced and experienced riders. All of our horses are trained for Tölt, a special gait unique to Icelandic horses. With small groups and breathtaking views, you’ll receive personal attention and have the space to connect with your horse, our guides, and the beautiful Icelandic environment.

We ride in a scenic loop, taking in the lovely landscape surrounding our farm while our guides share fascinating stories about the land and the Icelandic horses.

This tour is ideal for riders of all skill levels – we will find the perfect horse for each rider.

Dress according to the weather. A warm jacket or overcoat, good shoes, comfortable pants (riding pants are not necessary), a hat, gloves, and neckwear are recommended. Warm, long underwear, if possible (to protect against chafing).
If you want to bring a camera, please bring a small waist bag, as backpacks cannot be taken on horseback.

2-Hour Horseback Riding Tour at Vorsabær 2
- Arrival at Vorsabær 2 and welcome by your guide.
- Meet the horses and receive a safety briefing and riding instructions.
- Small-group 2-hour horseback ride across extended countryside trails on the farm.
- Short pauses during the ride as needed.
- Return to the farm at the end of the ride.

Please note

Riding helmets are mandatory and provided free of charge.
Riders must be able to mount and dismount a horse with minimal assistance.
The maximum rider weight is 110 kg (240 lb).
Used boots, riding wear, saddlebags, etc., must be disinfected before arriving in Iceland, as infectious diseases can easily be introduced into the country and pose a serious threat to horses. Riding gear is typically washed, and shoes, helmets, and safety vests are cleaned with iodine or another disinfectant. Used riding gloves and all used leather items (e.g., chaps) are not permitted.
Tours may be canceled due to unsafe conditions, such as ice or strong winds. In such cases, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
