This tour is for experienced riders who would like to ride the Icelandic horse in an extraordinary environment.

This tour is for experienced riders who would like to ride the Icelandic horse in an extraordinary environment. We begin the tour on nice riding trails along our meadows which are perfect for trying the special gait of the Icelandic horse, tölt. We continue riding on grassland, following the river Gljúfurá to an old cemetery and further down to the soft Ölfusá River bank. From there, we have a view of the river and if the weather allows the famous volcanos Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull. We proceed through a bird sanctuary before returning to our farm Vellir. For experienced riders only!

Please note: Mininum number of participants are 2 people. If we do not reach the minimum number of participants, a different tour will be offered instead.

Pick up and drop off, Riding for 2 1/2 – 3 hours.

Wij bieden helmen en regenkleding/winteroveralls.

Draag kleding op basis van het weer en stevige schoenen. Wij raden wandelschoenen aan.

Een 100%-heffing geldt indien deze binnen 1 dagen na de starttijd wordt geannuleerd.

Let op

This tour is offered all year round. 2.5-3 hours riding. Pick-up in Reykjavik elke dag om 08:00. Return to Reykjavik ca. 13:00. Note that pick up from hotels in Hafnarfjörður, Kópavogur en Mosfellsbær is bij 7:30 and pick up from Hveragerði and Selfoss is at 8:45. Please double check your booking a day or two before arrival for the pick up location, as the bus stops may change without notice. Only for experienced riders!
