Your private guide will meet you at Djúpivogur harbour or your accommodation. After a short introduction, we begin the scenic drive south along the coast.
Scenic drive through the Eastfjords
We leave Djúpivogur and follow the coastline through quiet fjord landscapes, with mountain views, coastal scenery and photo opportunities along the way.
Hvalnes and coastal viewpoints
Depending on weather and timing, we make selected scenic stops near Hvalnes and the surrounding coastal area, where dramatic mountains meet the Atlantic coastline.
Stokksnes and Vestrahorn
The main highlight of the tour is Stokksnes, with views of the iconic Vestrahorn mountain, black sand beaches, dunes and reflections when conditions are right. There will be time for photography, short walks and enjoying the landscape at a relaxed pace.
Optional refreshment stop
If time allows, we can make a short coffee or refreshment stop before heading back toward Djúpivogur. Meals and drinks are not included.

This is an easy private scenic tour with short walks at selected photo stops. The tour does not involve a long hike, but guests should be able to walk short distances on uneven ground, black sand and natural surfaces.

The route and stops may be adjusted depending on weather, light, road conditions and your ship schedule or travel plans. East Iceland weather can change quickly, so warm layers and waterproof clothing are recommended.

For cruise passengers, pickup and return are planned around the ship schedule. Please provide your cruise ship name, arrival time and departure time when booking.
