Discover some of Iceland's most iconic natural attractions on this full-day South Coast adventure from Reykjavík. Travel through a landscape of volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls, black sand beaches, and dramatic sea cliffs while exploring the region's most famous sights.
After pickup in Reykjavík, journey along Iceland's scenic South Coast to the powerful Skógafoss waterfall, where a 60-metre cascade plunges over ancient sea cliffs. Continue to the world-famous Reynisfjara svart sandströnd, known for its striking basalt columns, towering sea stacks, and powerful Atlantic waves.
Next, head to Sólheimasandur, a vast black sand outwash plain, where you'll take a shuttle to visit the famous DC-3 flugvél flak. Resting in the volcanic desert since 1973, the aircraft creates one of Iceland's most unique and photogenic landscapes.
The adventure continues to the charming village of Vík, where you'll stop at the hilltop church overlooking the coastline before visiting Dýrhólaey, a dramatic sea arch and clifftop viewpoint offering spectacular views of black sand beaches, sea stacks, and the surrounding coastline.
You'll also stop at the Sólheimajökull glacier viewpoint, where you can admire the outlet glacier extending from the mighty Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. On the return journey to Reykjavík, visit the beautiful Seljalandsfoss waterfall, famous for the pathway that allows visitors to walk behind the cascading water during suitable conditions.

We make a brief stop at the Lava Centre in Hvolsvollur where guests can use the restrooms and purchase food & drinks to go.

Dyrhólæy offers incredible views of the ocean, rock arches and geological formations, and miles of black sand beach. Keep an eye out for puffins during the summer months!
