Discover the wild and Reykjanes Peninsula and get a chance to see the Northern Lights on this luxury winter tour. Visit Raufarhólshellir Lava Tunnel and take a relaxing bath in the Blue Lagoon for an even more spectacular experience in Iceland.

Those interested in learning more about Iceland's geology and volcanic environment will enjoy our Private Luxury Jeep Tour to Reykjanes Peninsula and Northern Lights with Blue Lagoon and Lava Tunnel. From black sand dunes to basalt cliffs and geothermal springs, you'll witness a wide range of Icelandic landscapes on this private luxury jeep trip. With some luck, you may even get a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis dancing in the sky.

We pick you up from your Reykjavik hotel with our comfy luxury 4×4 jeep and drive south to visit the amazing Raufarhólshellir lava tunnel, the fourth-longest lava tube in Iceland and one of the most interesting and visually stunning we have ever seen.

There is an hour-long guided tour at the tunnel with a local guide who will tell you all about the various lava formations, how lava caves are formed, and the numerous sorts of minerals that can be discovered there. The colors and rock forms of the lava cave will awe you, and you'll get to feel the unusual stillness of the cave.

Géoparc de Reykjanes, a UNESCO site and one of Iceland's geological treasures, is the next stop on this Private Luxury Jeep tour of Reykjanes Peninsula. Here we explore the magnificent Kleifarvatn et Grænavatn lakes, as well as the colorful and steamy geothermal hills of Seltún, where designated paths take you around hot springs and boiling mud pools.

Next, we visit Reykjanesviti, one of Iceland's oldest lighthouses, which sits atop stunning cliffs not far from the Gunnuhver geothermal area, where the legend of a haunting ghost lady has been passed down for generations. After that, we travel to the Pont entre deux continents, where you can walk over the fissure between the North American and the European tectonic plates which are drifting apart.

A visit to Monde viking, a fascinating museum about the Vikings in Iceland and the North Atlantic, is also included in our Private Luxury Reykjanes Jeep Tour. The Icelander, a life-sized replica of a Viking ship unearthed during archeological digs in Norway, is on display here as part of your Viking history lesson. To celebrate the trip of Leifur Eiriksson, the first European to sail to North America, the replica was sailed to New York City in 2000.

To wrap up our time on the Reykjanes Peninsula, our Private Luxury Reykjanes Peninsula and Northern Lights Tour continue to one of Iceland's best-known attractions, the Lagon Bleu. Here you have some time to snap some pictures and, if you wish, you can enter the pool, for a relaxing, luxurious experience. Please note tickets to access the Blue Lagoon must be booked in advance and are not included in the price of the tour.

After that, we set out on a quest to catch a glimpse of the awe-inspiring Aurores boréales. During our Private Luxury Reykjanes Peninsula and Northern Lights jeep tour, we will be reviewing the aurora prediction to identify the best potential sites for us to witness these natural phenomena away from the city light. Please keep in mind that the Northern Lights are natural phenomena and cannot be guaranteed due to a variety of circumstances, including chance. This Private Luxury Jeep Tour is already wonderful, but seeing the Northern Lights while on it is an added bonus.
