There is an hour-long guided tour at the tunnel with a local guide who will tell you all about the various lava formations, how lava caves are formed, and the numerous sorts of minerals that can be discovered there. The colors and rock forms of the lava cave will awe you, and you'll get to feel the unusual stillness of the cave.

Geoparque Reykjanes, a UNESCO site and one of Iceland's geological treasures, is the next stop on this Private Luxury Jeep tour of Reykjanes Peninsula.
