Horseback riding – private tours

We can offer all our tours in a private setting, please refer to our tours for description. Depending on the time of year, the tours are either 1 or 2 hours (time in the saddle) and the departure time can vary from the standard tour times. The tours are booked in advance and depend on the availability of guides and horses.

Helmets are provided for each rider and flynets if necessary. Gloves may be borrowed upon request.

Please dress according to the weather – warm clothes and gloves if cold, rain jacket if raining, winter outfits … Sunglasses may be handy on bright, sunny days.

Se aplica un cargo 100% si se cancela dentro de 1 día de la hora de inicio.
Se aplica un cargo 50% si se cancela dentro de los 2 días posteriores a la hora de inicio.
A 20% charge applies if canceled within 5 days of the start time.

Tenga en cuenta

Please be advised to dress according to the weather. Sunglasses might come in handy on bright, sunny days.

We like our customers to arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled starting time in order to get everyone ready in time.

Large cameras/lenses or bags should not be taken on the tour and if taken, any damage is your responsibility.

Please be advised that 110 kg (242 lbs) is the maximum weight for our strongest horses. If you weigh more than 100 kg (220 lbs), please notify us in advance so we can make necessary arrangements (safarihestar@safarihestar.is).

Please understand that horses are live animals and can be startled by loud noises such as screaming.
