Fusion, Icelandic, Mediterranean, Where to eat
Lækjargata 10, 580 Siglufjörður, Iceland

Marked from the street by a giant langoustine sculpture, Fjöruborðið (“at the seashore”) is one of the most famous seafood destinations in Iceland and an easy detour roughly 45 minutes from Reykjavík. The cosy seaside dining room has welcomed langoustine pilgrims for years.
The signature experience is straightforward and generous: a deeply flavoured langoustine soup followed by big bowls of langoustine tails cooked in butter and spices, served family-style. It is the kind of meal people plan a whole evening around.
The restaurant keeps reduced hours in winter, so it is worth confirming times and booking ahead, especially for weekend dinners and larger tables.
