Morsárfoss
The tallest waterfall in Iceland
As a result of the melting of Morsárjökull glacier, Morsárfoss is created. With 240 meters, Morsárfoss is the tallest waterfall in Iceland. Reaching the stunning waterfall requires a long hike due to the remote location of the waterfall. In 2007, Glymur was believed to be the tallest waterfall in the country with 198 meters.
When visiting Morsárfoss, we recommend spending the night in the camping area. You can continue the hike to other places such as he Skaftafellsjökull Glacier and Kristínartindar Peaks.
