Rauðasandur, Iceland
You might have heard the town of Borgarnes in West Iceland. The Borgarfjördur Region is part of the west, and Borgarnes is the “capital” of the region. This place is famous for being the setting of the Icelandic Sagas. The land around the region has been inhabited since the settlement, and it is a land of agriculture and farm life.
Driving from Reykjavík will only take you an hour until you arrive in Borgarfjördur. We recommend taking a stroll around the region and end your trip with a visit to Krauma Geothermal Baths and Spa.
