The Whale and the Icelandic Horse

Experience the combination of the traditional GG1 Whale Watching and the countryside riding tour. Enjoy the great view of Skjálfandi Bay on an Icelandic horse with experienced riders at your side. The horse riding is suitable for beginners as well as experienced riders and starts in Saltvík Farm, which is just four minutes by car from Húsavík harbour.

  • For the whale watching tour: A specialized guide, warm safety overalls, and rain jackets if needed
  • For the riding tour: A specialized guide, and safety helmets
  • Exclusive discounts with selected local partners in Húsavík

  • For both activities, please bring warm and waterproof clothes, footwear, hats and gloves and protective bags for cameras
  • We kindly ask you to respect the weight limit of 110 kg per person for the well-being of the horses
  • Please check-in at the Gentle Giants Ticket Center latest 40 minutes before departure
