Iceland Highlands & South Coast Super Jeep tour
Iceland Highlands & South Coast Super Jeep Adventure Iconic sights. Hidden wilderness. One unforgettable ride.
Discover the best of Iceland’s famous South Coast and its most remote highland wilderness in one epic 11-hour loop tour—designed for adventurous spirits who want more than the ordinary.
We begin with pickup in Reykjavík, then head south through ever-changing landscapes—lush farmlands, mossy lava fields, and coastal cliffs—towards well-known gems like Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, and the striking black sands of Reynisfjara.
From there, we leave the beaten path behind.
Striking deep into the uninhabited interior, we follow rugged dirt tracks into the raw beauty of Fjallabak Nature Reserve, for a short part, even paralleling the legendary Laugavegur Trail—a route that most only experience on foot over several days. Thanks to our powerful Super Jeep—a heavily modified 4×4 built to handle Iceland’s toughest terrain—we go beyond where buses and standard vehicles can travel.
We’ll cross glacial rivers and explore a land shaped by fire and ice: vibrant moss-covered mountains rising from black volcanic deserts, colorful rhyolite hills in shades of yellow and brown, and emerald lakes shimmering in the highlands. The majestic glaciers Mýrdalsjökull and Eyjafjallajökull dominate the skyline as we drive through one of Iceland’s most surreal and untouched regions.
Along the way, you’ll stop at places few travelers have ever seen, including hidden waterfalls, alpine lakes like Álftavatn, and the surreal green volcano Mt. Mælifell—a highlight of the Laugavegur Trail.
