Our adventure begins with a visit to Þingvellir National Park , a UNESCO World Heritage site of immense historical and geological significance.Imagine walking between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates – a truly unique experience! Your guide will bring to life the stories of Iceland’s ancient parliament, where laws were made under the open sky centuries ago.
We’ll make a brief stop to admire the picturesque Öxarárfoss waterfall, a charming cascade easily accessible by a short walk. Enjoy the scenic views and capture some photos.
We’ll make a pleasant stop at Efstidalur II, a family-run farm. Enjoy some free time to take photos, perhaps interact with the farm animals, and enjoy a break.
Next, we’ll explore the geothermal wonderland of Geysir. Witness the bubbling hot springs, steaming vents, and the famous Strokkur geyser erupting dramatically every few minutes, sending a column of hot water high into the air. Experience the beauty of Gullfoss waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders. On a sunny day, you might even be lucky enough to witness a vibrant rainbow arching through the mist! You’ll have time for sightseeing, guided information, and capturing stunning photos.
We’ll take a delightful and unique break at the Friðheimar tomato farm. Step into a greenhouse oasis where you’ll learn about the innovative ways Icelanders grow fresh produce year-round, even in the Arctic climate.
As our day winds down, we’ll head to the dramatic Kerið Crater Lake. Take a walk around the rim for panoramic views and then descend to the water’s edge to truly appreciate the scale and beauty of this unique geological wonder.
