Meet us at the Sólheimajökull Glacier parking lot for an unforgettable ice adventure. This small-group tour combines an expertly guided glacier hike with an introduction to ice climbing, and no previous experience is required.
After meeting your certified glacier guide, you'll be fitted with all necessary equipment, including crampons, helmets, ice axes, and other safety gear. Following a thorough safety briefing, you'll hike through a quiet, moss-covered valley to access the glacier from above. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of Sólheimajökull Glacier and the dramatic surrounding landscape before stepping onto the ice itself.
Once on the glacier, explore a stunning world of deep crevasses, ice ridges, moulins, and striking blue ice formations while learning about the glacier's geology and ever-changing nature. Your guide will lead you to a suitable ice wall, where you'll receive an introduction to ice climbing techniques and have the opportunity to experience climbing on the glacier firsthand.
