You'll also see glacier-capped volcanoes, including the infamous Eyjafjallajökull and Katla, a powerful volcano hidden beneath the massive Mýrdalsjökull glacier. Every mile of the drive offers something awe-inspiring, making the journey along this scenic route just as memorable as the destinations themselves.

We’ll stop at some of Iceland’s most postcard-perfect locations, including towering waterfalls, black sand beaches, and breathtaking glacier views. It’s an unforgettable experience that truly showcases the country’s natural beauty.

Highlights

Skógafoss Waterval: One of Iceland's most picturesque waterfalls, Skógafoss is renowned for its impressive 60-meter (196-foot) drop. Capture unforgettable photos of this natural marvel, featured in movies like Thor: The Dark World, or the TV showVikings.

Sólheimajökullgletsjer: Witness the majestic Sólheimajökull glacier, which has shaped the surrounding terrain. Here, you'll have the chance to see how Iceland’s glaciers are retreating and forming stunning natural features, like the serene iceberg-filled lake at the glacier’s base.

Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach: Explore the iconic black sands of Reynisfjara Beach, known for its towering basalt columns, striking Reynisdrangar sea stacks, and picturesque cave. This awe-inspiring location was listed as one of the world's best beaches by National Geographic – for a good reason.

Vík Village: Experience the charm of Vík, Iceland's southernmost village. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and home to vibrant birdlife, it’s the perfect place to take in the region’s coastal beauty.

Seljalandsfoss-waterval: Walk behind the cascading waters of Seljalandsfoss, a rare and thrilling experience. Set against the backdrop of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, this unique waterfall is one of Iceland’s most famous attractions. Don’t forget your raincoat!
