Snorkel between the continents in the clearest water in the world in Silfra fissure

Silfra is een spleet tussen de Noord-Amerikaanse en Euraziatische continentale platen Silfra vult zich voortdurend met gletsjerwater dat al 30 jaar door ondergronds lavasteen druppelt Deze opmerkelijke scheur tussen twee tektonische platen is dus gevuld met het helderste water op onze planeet, waardoor een zicht van meer dan 100 meter mogelijk is.

On the snorkeling tour we will dress you in a dry suit and guide you through the four parts of the Silfra fissure. Floating through Silfra's crystal clear water is an otherworldly experience; the near-freezing water, astonishing colors, and sensations of flying provide a very unique environment for liquid meditation that you will never forget.

Snorkelen in Silfra
- (If you have booked a tour with pick up you will first meet your driver at the selected pick-up location in Reykjavik)
- Arrival at the meeting point at Silfra 15 minutes before the tour start time, check-in with guides
- Division into groups of 6 people, one group per guide
- Briefing and gear-up with your guide (∼1 hour total)
- Once you are fully dressed, your guide will take a number from the park ranger and that will be your group’s number to enter the water
- Make your way to the entry platform, short wait (wait time may vary)
- 30-45 minutes spent in the water
- Exit through platform, walk back to the meeting point (∼250 meters)
- Take off equipment, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies to warm up
- At this point, you will have time to chat with your guide, ask any questions you might have and take a look at the pics taken during the tour

teken onze formulier voor vrijgave van aansprakelijkheid bij aanvang van de tour
tussen 150cm en 200cm in hoogte zijn
tussen 45kg en 120kg in gewicht zijn
passen binnen onze maattabel droogpak
minimaal 12 jaar per jaar zijn
wees comfortabel in het water en kan zwemmen
wees fysiek fit
wees klaar om een soms strak en knellend droogpak te dragen
in staat zijn om te allen tijde tijdens de tour in het Engels te communiceren of een vertaler beschikbaar te hebben
niet zwanger zijn
eat well before the tour

Deelnemers mogen niet op tournee zonder de handtekening te zetten Snorkelen Silfra Medische verklaring and, if necessary, a physician’s approval which can be found on the second page of the Medical Statement document.
