Private Glacier Hike op Sólheimajökull Glacier

Sólheimajökull is a raw and rugged outlet glacier in an ever changing environment.

Surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges , the glacier slowly but steadily crawls backwards, giving our experienced glacier guide a new challenge every day! The aim is to get you away from the crowd, finding nooks and crannies to explore on your own; walking between deep crevasses, amazing ice formations, jagged ridges and spine-tingling sinkholes!

We start our trip with a nice short walk up to Sólheimajökull. It's a magnificent feeling viewing the glacier from a far and imagining your selves being up there in just a short while!

The guide then gives a short but very important demonstration on how to properly use the glacier equipment. When we're ready we head up the icy but easily accessible slopes on to our adventure, taking in the amazing surroundings on our way. .
