The Silver Circle is West Iceland's quieter answer to the Golden Circle: Europe's most powerful hot spring, waterfalls that pour out of a lava field and, at its heart, a walk into the ice of Langjökull glacier. This private tour ends with a soak at Hvammsvík Hot Springs on the way home.

Your group gets a dedicated driver-guide and a vehicle that belongs entirely to you for the day. No fixed pace, no waiting for other passengers, no compromises.

At Deildartunguhver, boiling water bubbles out of the ground in clouds of steam. In Reykholt you visit the home of Snorri Sturluson, the medieval writer behind many of the Norse myths we know today. At Hraunfossar, clear water seeps out of a lava field in countless small falls, while next door Barnafoss rushes through a narrow gorge.

From Húsafell, a glacier vehicle takes you up onto Langjökull for Into the Glacier: a man-made ice tunnel that leads you deep inside the glacier, between walls of blue ice. After a stop at the Fossatún waterfalls, you relax at Hvammsvík Hot Springs, natural geothermal pools right at the shoreline of Hvalfjörður.

Throughout the day your driver-guide shares stories, sagas and practical tips about Iceland's nature, history and culture.

Full details of each stop are in the itinerary. Pick-up and drop-off anywhere in the Capital Area, including the cruise terminals, is included. The order of stops may be adjusted on the day due to weather, road conditions or your ice tunnel time.

Deildartunguhver and Reykholt
First comes Deildartunguhver, Europe's most powerful hot spring, where boiling water bubbles out of the ground and steam rolls across the fields. A few minutes away lies Reykholt, home of Snorri Sturluson, the 13th-century writer who preserved many of the stories of the Norse gods. His old geothermal bathing pool, Snorralaug, can still be seen today.

Into the Glacier at Langjökull
At Húsafell your glacier adventure begins. A specially built glacier vehicle takes you up onto Langjökull, Iceland's second largest glacier, where you walk into a man-made ice tunnel deep inside the ice, surrounded by blue walls, and learn how glaciers form and change.
Fossatún Waterfalls

You will receive your booking confirmation right after you book.
Please count everyone in your group, including children and infants, as everyone needs their own seat.
We pick up and drop off at any accommodation in the Capital Area and at the cruise terminals in Reykjavík and Hafnarfjörður. Staying somewhere else? Send us a message before you book and we will gladly help.
Arriving by cruise ship? This is a long day, so please check your ship's all-aboard time before you book. We plan the start time and the route around it, so you are back at the port well before all-aboard time.
This is a full day of about 12 hours door to door.

氷河に

The Into the Glacier ticket is required for this tour and is added per person when you book. We reserve your time slot and plan the pick-up time around it.
The ice tunnel visit starts in Húsafell and takes about 3.5 to 4 hours, including the ride up the glacier. It is cold inside the ice, and crampons are provided.

Hvammsvík tickets

Entry tickets are not included in the tour price, and you can add them when you book: Natural, Classic or Comfort. Tickets are priced per person.
If you already have tickets, simply skip the add-on and let us know your entry time so we can plan the day around it.

Walking and accessibility

This tour involves easy walks on uneven natural paths that can be wet or icy, so it is not suitable for guests with serious mobility limitations. The tour is not wheelchair accessible.
