Our first stop is the famed Mink Viking Portrait Studio, where you’ll have the chance to transform into a Viking warrior or shieldmaiden.  Learn about Viking culture while you don traditional Viking attire, complete with fur cloaks, helmets, and weapons.  Next, you’ll strike a pose against a backdrop inspired by the Viking Age to forever document this epic moment in time!

Afterwards, you’ll journey to Nauthúsagil, a hidden canyon waterfall nestled within Iceland’s dramatic canyon landscape.  Our driver guide who also duals as a professional photographer will lead you on the hike through this enchanting ravine.  There, you’ll be surrounded by towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls.  You’ll feel like you’re in an episode of Vikings as you immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Iceland as you traverse through moss-covered rocks, and clear drinkable streams.  With your Viking attire on, you’ll be captured discovering the magic of this remote wilderness.

Ready to experience the roots of Icelandic culture?  You will have the opportunity to experience an old Icelandic turf house.  The kind of house early settlers lived in.  Not only is the outside picturesque but the inside is educational!

Next on this Ultimate Viking Experience, a hidden waterfall adventure awaits you!  Some say the area screams iconic Viking movie set and we wholeheartedly agree.  After a short 10-15 minute stroll, you’ll be mesmerized by the winding path and waterfall view.  Maybe take a moment before or after your photos here to fill up your water bottle.

In Norse mythology, Skógafoss is tied to the famed stories of Þrasi Þórólfsson, a legendary Viking settler.  Sagas say that Þrasi buried a treasure chest behind the waterfall.  According to the myth, locals found the chest years later, but only managed to grab onto its ring before it disappeared again.  Explore and be photographed within this magical area during this Ultimate Viking experience!

After, we will head to Mr. Iceland’s countryside paradise.  Mr Iceland is a local legend renowned for his knowledge of Icelandic culture and history.  Our adventure continues not only with an Icelandic horseback riding experience but also photos of your interaction.  Learn about and mount these majestic creatures while you take a scenic ride through the Icelandic countryside.  Imagine yourself trotting along feeling the wind in your hair as you gallop and feel the Icelandic horses claim to fame, the 5th gait.  You’ll walk away with a deep appreciation and be forever connected with the spirit of the Icelandic horse.

As the day draws to a close, we’ll gather for a special dinner with Mr Iceland to dine on delectable Icelandic cuisine.  He will tell you tales of Viking lore and mythology, allowing you to gain further insight into the ancient traditions that continue to shape Iceland’s identity.
