This tour gives you the unique opportunity to discover another region of Iceland: The Icelandic Highlands. And we are doing so, by offering you an itinerary that provides a balance between gazing at beautiful landscapes and actively hiking through them.
The Icelandic Highlands are only open during the summer.
It is a vast, uninhabited desert in the middle of the island. This is the real Iceland, remote, and untouched.
To access this paradise, one must ride on rugged roads, this is why our tours are happening in a specially modified 4×4 LandCruiser, to drive you there in safety and comfort.
If this tour is focused on hiking, some sightseeing stops are also planned to enjoy the beauty of the highlands and take a few pictures.
At the end of the day, should you wish to, you can take a dip in a hot spring.
Transport privé
Le temps en Islande peut changer rapidement et devient encore plus difficile à prévoir dans les Highlands.
Veuillez toujours emporter des vêtements résistants aux intempéries avec vous.
If you want to do some hiking, bring the appropriate equipment e.g. hiking boots.
And of course, bring a swimsuit and a towel if you wish to take a dip in the Landmannalaugar hot spring!
Beautiful canyon with dozens of waterfalls. Also called “The Valley of Tears”.
Ljotipollur is a stunning volcanic crater displaying an incredible number of colors and a lake at its bottom. It is, however, impossible to understand why it is called Ljotipollur, which means the “ugly puddle”.
Once we reach our main destination; Landmannalaugar dans le Hautes terres, you will have the possibility to choose between several hiking paths. Some are more challenging than others, so after talking with your guide, you will decide which ones are the most suitable for you.
