Discover Iceland’s most iconic routes with a private two-day journey that combines world-famous sights with authentic farm life. Begin with the legendary Cercle d'or — Þingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss — before arriving at our family farm in West Iceland for an unforgettable evening.
You’ll stay overnight in a private three-bedroom apartment (perfect for up to five guests) and experience what Icelanders call sveitarómantík — “country romance.” Share quiet moments with loved ones, cuddle our sheep, hug our gentle horses, and enjoy the warmth of true countryside hospitality. A hearty farm-fresh breakfast is included, while other meals are enjoyed at local restaurants along the way, chosen according to your preferences.
On day two, continue your adventure with a family-friendly hike up Cratère Grábrók, a stop at Glanni waterfall, and a tomato lunch at the greenhouse by Deildartunguhver. The journey ends with the breathtaking Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls before returning to Reykjavík, with the option to pause for dinner along the way.
INCLUS :
Participants are picked up at 9 AM at a location of their choice within Reykjavík City.
Kerið — a striking volcanic crater filled with vivid blue-green water, framed by red lava rock. Unlike most craters, it’s easily accessible, letting you walk right along the rim or descend to the lake below. A colorful, photogenic stop unique to Iceland’s landscape
Gullfoss — the ‘Golden Falls’ that give the Golden Circle its name. Here, glacial water from Langjökull plunges in two dramatic tiers into a rugged canyon, sending spray high into the air. On sunny days, rainbows often form in the mist, making this one of Iceland’s most iconic and unforgettable sights.
Geysir Geothermal Area — the original home of the word ‘geyser.’ Although the Great Geysir itself is now mostly dormant, nearby Strokkur erupts every few minutes, shooting steaming water up to 30 meters skyward. The bubbling pools and sulfur-scented steam vents make this a living showcase of Iceland’s geothermal power.
Þingvellir — a UNESCO World Heritage Site where nature and history meet. Walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates in Almannagjá gorge, and stand on the site where Iceland’s first parliament, the Alþingi, was founded in 930 AD. A place of breathtaking beauty and immense cultural importance.
Hvassafell — your countryside home in West Iceland. After a day of exploring, arrive at our family farm for an evening of country romance: cuddle our sheep, hug our gentle horses, and feel the calm of rural life. You’ll stay overnight in a private three-bedroom apartment on the farm, with cozy touches and farm-fresh breakfast included. A uniquely personal Icelandic experience found nowhere else.
Northern Lights are one of the most spectacular events you will witness when traveling to Iceland (during the winter months). Being a natural phenomenon, we cannot guarantee that they will appear – but in case they do – our farm and the surrounding area are great locations to view them. The light pollution around the farm is minimal, so they can be seen from there, but if we take a very short drive (5 min), we can drive to an area of complete darkness – where we can enjoy watching the spectacle in solitude. We cannot promise you will see the Northern Lights during your tour with us, but what we can do is promise that we will do our very best to hunt them and find good areas around where the conditions are right.
Begin the day with a hearty farm-fresh breakfast before departure. Spend time revisiting the horses, saying goodbye to the sheep, or enjoying a peaceful walk around the countryside. With a relaxed 10:00 AM departure, there’s plenty of time to soak in the quiet charm of farm life before the day’s adventures continue.
Glanni Waterfall — a hidden gem of West Iceland, where a broad cascade tumbles over ancient lava rocks. Legend says it’s the home of elves and trolls, adding a touch of magic to this peaceful stop.
Reykholt — a historic cultural center of Iceland, once home to the medieval writer and chieftain Snorri Sturluson. Here you can explore the remains of Snorri’s farm, his hot spring bath ‘Snorralaug,’ and learn about Iceland’s sagas and political history. Blending heritage, literature, and geothermal charm, Reykholt offers a unique window into the past while surrounded by the peaceful countryside of West Iceland.
