Harbour-side hotel restaurant in a 1904 building serving local Icelandic seafood and lamb in Djúpivogur.

Housed in the original 1904 Framtíð building overlooking Djúpivogur’s small harbour, this hotel restaurant leans on locally sourced produce from land and sea. Starters such as locally caught mussels and lamb tartare lead into mains of lobster tails, roasted lamb fillet and the daily catch, with pizzas, soups and desserts rounding out the menu.

The dining room is cosy and intimate, with views over the port, and a lighter à la carte menu is served through the afternoon. It is one of the few full-service kitchens in this quiet Ring Road fishing village, making it a natural stop for travellers overnighting on the eastern coast.
