Semi Private Family Rafting

River rafting is a fun and adrenaline-packed activity but may not be the best option for the entire family. However, you are in luck! At Secret Local Adventures you can attend our family rafting trip in which the whole family can have fun.  In our family rafting trip, we will start in the same place as our white water rafting trip but we will skip the biggest and scariest rapids. When we have sailed past the biggest rapids we will arrive at one of the most beautiful places on Earth, Brúarhlöð Canyon. The only place to see and experience this canyon is by boat and it really is once in a lifetime experience! We offer cliff-jumping for the daredevils at Brúarhlöð and later on we play fun games on the boat and experience smaller rapids and the stunning nature surrounding us.   We are one of few companies in the world that use Dry Suits in our tours. That means that at the end of the trip, you will be 90% dry. The suits also provide extra security when paired with a life jacket which is a necessary piece of equipment when river rafting. We also provide a helmet and shoes.   You don't need any rafting experience before the trip. Our trained and skilled guides will tell you all about safety on board and how to enjoy the trip in a safe way!  The family rafting trip takes about 3,5 to 4 hours in total and you have to arrive at Secret Local Adventures Base at least 15 minutes prior to departure.
