Summer for the Secret Lagoon and Golden Circle; the geothermal greenhouses are open year-round.
Flúðir is a small, geothermal village in the Golden Circle area of South Iceland, where hot water bubbling beneath the surface feeds greenhouses and hot springs. It’s a relaxed, rural stop away from the busier tourist crowds.
The Secret Lagoon (Gamla Laugin), Iceland’s oldest swimming pool, is the main draw, and nearby greenhouses grow everything from tomatoes to bananas. Golden Circle stars like Gullfoss, Geysir and Þingvellir are all a short drive away.
