Experience Iceland’s iconic Golden Circle and dramatic South Coast in one day-geysers, waterfalls, glaciers, and black sand beaches at a relaxed pace.

This private 2-day tour offers a relaxed and immersive way to experience Iceland’s South Coast and Diamond Beach without rushing through the highlights. Designed for travelers who want to enjoy their time and at a smoother pace. The journey allows Iceland’s landscapes to unfold over the course of two days.

Day 1: Waterfalls, Black Sand Beaches & Coastal Views

Departing from 雷克雅未克, you travel along the South Coast, where farmland gradually gives way to glaciers, volcanoes, and black volcanic shoreline scenery. Stops include 塞尔贾兰兹福斯, where you can walk behind the waterfall, and the powerful 斯科加福斯 waterfall.

You’ll continue to the black sands of Reynisfjara, framed by basalt columns and crashing Atlantic waves, and enjoy coastal views near 迪尔霍莱 (weather permitting). The day ends near 维克 or further east, where you will stay overnight close to Diamond Beach.

Day 2: Glaciers, Lagoons & Diamond Beach

The second day focuses on Iceland’s glacial landscapes. You’ll visit Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where icebergs drift slowly across deep blue water, followed by nearby 钻石海滩, where crystals of ice rests on black volcanic sand.

If conditions allow, the journey continues through Fjaðrárgljúfur, a steep canyon carved by melting glacial water over thousands of years, before returning west toward Reykjavík with optional stops available.

This 2-day excursion is ideal for travelers who want to experience Iceland’s South Coast in depth, without long single-day drives or the pressure of time.

Blue Lagoon / Sky Lagoon Stops can be added with some extra charges.

  • Private Golden Circle Itinerary
  • Your private Golden Circle adventure begins with pickup from your accommodation in Reykjavík. The first stop is the iconic Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of immense geological and historical importance. Located within the Mid-Atlantic Rift, this remarkable site allows you to stand between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Enjoy panoramic views of dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear springs, vast meadows, and Lake Þingvallavatn. Walk through the historic Almannagjá Gorge and visit the beautiful Öxarárfoss waterfall, where Iceland’s early settlers once gathered to form laws and shape the nation’s identity. This stop perfectly blends Iceland’s natural beauty with its deep cultural roots.

  • Next, we head to the lesser-known but breathtaking Brúarfoss, often called “The Blue Waterfall.” A short and scenic walk through moss-covered lava fields and peaceful riverbanks leads you to this hidden gem.

Here, vivid blue glacial waters rush through narrow basalt rock formations, creating one of Iceland’s most photogenic waterfall scenes. Far from large crowds, Brúarfoss offers a peaceful and intimate nature experience. Your private guide will share insights into the waterfall’s unique geological and ecological features.

  • The journey continues to the dynamic Geysir Geothermal Area, where Iceland’s geothermal power is on full display. Steam rises from the ground, hot springs bubble, and geysers erupt dramatically.

While the original Geysir erupts rarely today, its neighbor Strokkur steals the show by shooting boiling water high into the air every few minutes. Take your time to explore the area, photograph the eruptions, and learn from your guide about the powerful volcanic forces shaping Iceland beneath the surface.

  • Your fourth stop is the magnificent Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls. Fed by the Hvítá River, Gullfoss crashes down in two dramatic tiers into a rugged canyon, creating thunderous sounds and misty spray.

Multiple viewing platforms allow you to experience the waterfall from different angles—perfect for photography and quiet admiration. Your guide will also share the cultural stories and geological history behind this iconic natural wonder.

  • The final stop of Day 1 is the striking Kerið Crater, a volcanic marvel known for its vivid red slopes and deep blue crater lake. Walk along the rim for panoramic views or descend into the crater itself to experience its serene atmosphere up close.

The contrast between the colorful volcanic rock and calm water offers a peaceful ending to an unforgettable day exploring Iceland’s Golden Circle.

  • Private South Coast Itinerary
  • Day 2 begins with pickup from your accommodation in Reykjavík as you head toward Iceland’s dramatic South Coast. Your first stop is the iconic Seljalandsfoss, a graceful waterfall cascading from a high cliff like a silver veil. What makes this waterfall truly special is the hidden pathway behind it, allowing you to walk behind the falling water and experience the thunder, mist, and magic from within its embrace—an unforgettable and immersive encounter with nature.
  • Next, you’ll visit the mighty Skógafoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful and awe-inspiring waterfalls. Plunging dramatically from ancient cliffs, Skógafoss fills the air with mist and thunderous sound. On clear days, rainbows often dance in the spray. With your private tour, you can take your time—walk close to the base or climb the nearby stairs for panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and highlands.
  • The journey continues to the Sólheimajökull Glacier viewpoint, where ice, ash, and time converge. This striking outlet glacier offers incredible views of blue ice formations, snow-covered ridges, and dramatic contrasts shaped by volcanic eruptions. The stillness and scale of the glacier create a powerful moment of reflection, highlighting both the beauty and fragility of Iceland’s natural environment.
  • Your fourth stop is the world-famous Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, a place of raw and haunting beauty. Walk along volcanic black sands framed by towering basalt columns and crashing Atlantic waves. Offshore, the legendary Reynisdrangar sea stacks rise dramatically from the ocean. Your guide will share local folklore and safety insights while you take in one of Iceland’s most photogenic and dramatic coastal landscapes.
  • Next, you’ll arrive in the charming coastal village of Vík, nestled beneath steep cliffs and overlooking black sand beaches. This peaceful stop offers time to relax, explore the surroundings, take photos, or enjoy refreshments while admiring views of the Reynisdrangar sea stacks. Vík perfectly showcases the harmony between Icelandic life and its powerful natural setting.
  • The final stop of your South Coast adventure is the Dyrhólaey viewpoint, a spectacular promontory offering sweeping views of black sand beaches, sea arches, cliffs, and the vast North Atlantic. Depending on the season, you may see nesting seabirds in summer or a dramatic snow-covered landscape in winter. This breathtaking viewpoint provides a perfect conclusion to your private South Coast journey before returning to Reykjavík.
