雷克雅未克艺术博物馆 is a vibrant and progressive art museum that has three locations in the city: Hafnarhús, Kjarvalsstaðir, and Ásmundarsafn.

This ticketis is valid for all three locations, Hafnarhús (open 10-17, 10-22 on Thursdays), Kjarvalsstaðir (open 10-17) and Ásmundarsafn (open 13-17), used within 24 hours.

Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús
Welcome to Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús. In Hafnarhús, the focus is on exhibitions of progressive art by recognised national and international contemporary artists. Hafnarhús is also home to the works of Erró which are permanently on show.

Hafnarhús is open daily from 10-17h00, with extended hours until 22h00 on Thursdays. Perfect for an evening of culture.

The ticket is also valid for 24 hours in our two other locations – Kjarvalsstaðir and Ásmundarsafn.
Reykjavík Art Museum – Kjarvalsstaðir
Kjarvalsstaðir hosts regular exhibitions of the works of Jóhannes S. Kjarvals (1885 – 1972), as he occupies a special place in Icelandic cultural and art history as one of the nation’s most beloved artists, past and present.

It also holds exhibitions of paintings and sculptures by renowned domestic and international artists.

Kjarvalsstaðir are open daily from 10-17h00.

Reykjavík Art Museum – Ásmundarsafn
The Reykjavík Art Museum – Ásmundarsafn is located at Sigtún in Laugardalur. Ásmundarsafn hosts regular exhibitions of the works of Ásmundur Sveinsson (1893-1982) together with the works of living artists.

Ásmundur Sveinsson was one of the pioneers of sculptural art in Iceland and designed the building mostly himself between 1942-1959. In the garden by the museum, you will find many of Ásmundur Sveinsson’s works, which have been enlarged or made especially for outdoor use.
Ásmundarsafn is open daily from 13-17h00.
