Spending a night in a mountain cabin close to Reykjavik, can be a truly positive and memorable experience. The cabin is located in scenic and secluded area, allowing you to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life and connect with nature.  First, after picking you up in Reykjavik metropolitan area, we stop over at the "Hellisheiðarvirkjun" Geothermal Exhibition. Located at one of the world's largest geothermal power stations, the exhibition provides an in-depth look at how Iceland harnesses this clean and sustainable energy source.

From there, we take you on our 4×4 vehicle to the backroads of Reykjadalur Valley.  We then hike to Reykjadalur valley and bathing in its hot springs is an incredible experience that showcases the unique natural wonders of Iceland. The hike itself is relatively easy, taking around 20 – 30 minutes to reach the valley.

After bathing, we take you off-roading on our modified 4×4 vehicle through rugged terrain that includes crossing a river multiple times. Crossing rivers in a 4×4 vehicle provides a unique perspective of the country's rugged landscapes, and the experience can be both exhilarating and challenging.  We then arrive at our cabin for our overnight stay.

Staying in a mountain cabin here provides a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse oneself in Iceland's stunning landscapes. The cabin is typically simple and rustic, with basic amenities, but offer comfortable accommodations to recharge after a long day of exploring. Of course, we fire up the BBQ for some delicious mountain meal.  In the evening, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the midnight sun in the summer or Northern Lights in the winter. Sleeping in a mountain cabin in the Icelandic highlands is an adventure that offers a unique sense of solitude and connection to the natural world that is hard to find elsewhere.
