If you’re dreaming of visiting the Westman Islands, we offer direct transportation from Reykjavík to Landeyjahöfn, the south-coast harbour where the ferry departs. Ferry tickets are purchased separately on herjolfur.is, giving you full control over your schedule.

Once on Heimaey, you’re free to explore at your own pace. The island is wonderfully walkable, with scenic viewpoints, puffin cliffs, museums, cafés and quiet corners that reward slow wandering.

Our daily departures from Reykjavík to Landeyjahöfn leave at 07:00 and 16:00. For your return, we offer transfers back to Reykjavík every day at 11:15 or 20:15. Whether you stay just a few hours or turn it into a longer escape, your journey remains completely flexible.
