We will be stopping at the waterfall and have a look at it while the guide tells you the story behind its name
- Skútustaðagígar
The pseudocraters at Skútustaðir were formed when lava floated into the lake and cooled down. We will stop here with a short walk to the viewing point.
- Dimmuborgir
The “dark castles”
Beautiful lava formations with quite a bit of mystique to them.
We will have a walk around the area and explore the formations and the story behind them
- Grjótagjá
A cave with geothermal hot water in it.
Used as a place to bathe and relax in the old days but the water got too hot after a volcanic eruption. We will stop here and have a look down in the caves.
- Námaskarð
Boiling mud and steam coming from the ground 24/7.
A geothermal area with a lot of energy. Here we will stop and have a short walk around the area.
- Dettifoss
Dettifoss is Europe’s most powerful waterfall. We will hike down to the waterfall and experience the great power in the water that originates from the highlands of Iceland
- Vesturdalur
A valley with beautiful basalt formations. We will have a short walk and explore the beautiful formations
- Ásbyrgi
A beautiful area which is believed to have been formed by the hoof of Odin’s horse, Sleipnir. We drive into the core of Ásbyrgi and take a walk to experience the natural beauty and peace that is present at Ásbyrgi
- Húsavík
Húsavík is a small fishing town in the northeast.It recently got famous for it’s role in the Netflix movie “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga”. We will pass through Húsavík without stopping unless otherwise requested by passengers
