Our main destination is Landmannalaugar, where you'll have time to explore the colorful rhyolite mountains, enjoy a scenic hike, or unwind in a geothermal hot spring nestled in the wild.
We close the day in the hauntingly beautiful Sigöldugljúfur—the Valley of Tears—a hidden canyon carved by glacial meltwater and wrapped in folklore.

Hjálparfoss is a peaceful waterfall where the Fossá and Þjórsá rivers meet, tumbling together from a lava field formed by eruptions of the nearby Hekla volcano. It lies in one of Iceland’s most geologically dynamic regions. Just downstream, its waters help power Iceland’s second-largest hydroelectric dam.
- Hnausapollur crater lake
Hnausapollur crater lake also known as Blahylur was formed during an immense volcanic eruption in 871, just a few years before Iceland’s first settlers reportedly arrived.
- Landmannalaugar
Landmannalaugar, located in Iceland’s central highlands, is known for its strikingly colorful rhyolite mountains and natural hot springs. Visitors can enjoy activities like hiking through rugged terrain, soaking in warm streams, and discovering lava fields and obsidian formations. It’s a favorite starting point for trekkers, especially those heading out on the famous Laugavegur trail to Þórsmörk.

The hidden gem Sigöldugljúfur, sometimes called the Valley of Tears. It has earned its nickname from the incredible number of waterfalls. Sigöldugljúfur is a fantasy-like space and is known for its many waterfalls, blue water, lavish vegetation, lava landscapes; and its emerging surroundings.
