Summer or winter, Landmannalaugar is one of the most beautiful regions of the country. It´s rugged landscape, bubbling hot springs and clear rivers surround you on all sides. We drive through beautiful mountains and by the Crater Lake Ljótipollur, which means ´ugly puddles ‘but is far from it! In Landmannalaugar you can relax and bathe in the warm natural pool next to a lava field or go for a short hike before heading for the active volcano Hekla, the queen of Icelandic volcanoes. We will try to drive to up the side of the volcano to take in the astounding views. We always try to fit our trips to our guest’s

We drive through beautiful mountains and visit the crater lake; Ljótipollur, which means 'ugly puddles' but is far from it! It is actually one of Landmannalaugar's most spectacular spots, with its turquoise coloured water and sloping coastal hills of red colour.

When we arrive at the geothermal pool you can either go for an energising hike or dip into the warm water surrounded by a field of lava. There you are able to center yourself bathing in nature itself!

We then head towards the active volcano Hekla, the queen of Icelandic volcanoes. When conditions allow, we drive 900 meters up. The view from there is just spectacular with a 100 km view in all directions and the possibility of seeing 7 glaciers!
