  • This cascade is an exceptionally beautiful and unusual natural pearl. The waterfall looks like it magically appears from within the lava, but it actually is a spring that surges through the ground and runs down into the Hvítá river. The waterfall streams out of Hallmundarhraun which is an ancient lava field created in an eruption from a volcano lying under Langjökull glacier.
  • Langjökull, the ‘Long Glacier’, is the second-largest glacier in Iceland, at 935 square kilometres (361 square miles). You’ll follow your guide through these intricate tunnels, witnessing first-hand the ever-changing environment of glaciers. You’ll see countless of rooms and halls built inside the glacier, including the ‘chapel’, where both weddings and concerts have been held.
  • On the way back we will stop at Krauma and Deildatunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring. The hot spring temperature is 100°C (212°F). Kraum is a natural geothermal bath, spa, and restaurant that specializes in Icelandic cuisine from the freshest local farm-produced ingredients.
