Discover Iceland’s iconic Golden Circle on a journey that blends powerful waterfalls, geological wonders, ancient history, and a serene geothermal lagoon experience. This tour captures the very essence of Iceland — from dramatic landscapes shaped by nature’s raw forces to tranquil warm waters that invite you to unwind.

Your adventure begins in Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Iceland’s story began. This is where the first parliament, Alþingi, was founded in the year 930 — making it one of the world’s oldest democratic institutions. Þingvellir is also a geological marvel: here, you can walk in a valley formed between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, watching the continents slowly drift apart beneath your feet.

Next, you’ll visit one of Iceland’s bluest hidden gems: Brúarfoss waterfall. Often called “Iceland’s Bluest Waterfall,” its vivid, electric-blue color comes from glacial meltwater flowing through a narrow, dramatic cascade. It’s a peaceful and stunning stop, perfect for photography and enjoying untouched nature.

The journey continues into Iceland’s geothermal heart at the Geysir geothermal area. Surrounded by steaming vents, bubbling mud pools, and colorful mineral deposits, you’ll witness the famous Strokkur geyser erupt skyward every few minutes — a breathtaking reminder of the Earth’s vibrant inner energy.

Then, prepare to be humbled by the mighty Gullfoss, the “Golden Waterfall.” This spectacular two-tiered waterfall drops a combined 32 meters into a rugged canyon, sending mist into the air and forming rainbows on sunny days. Its raw power and beauty make it one of Iceland’s most beloved natural wonders.

Finally, you’ll slow down and reconnect with nature at Laugarás Lagoon, a warm and inviting geothermal lagoon surrounded by peaceful countryside. With naturally heated mineral waters and a calm, intimate atmosphere, Laugarás Lagoon is the perfect way to end the day — soothing, revitalizing, and far from the crowds.

This Golden Circle journey is as enlightening as it is relaxing — an unforgettable blend of nature, culture, and pure Icelandic tranquility.

Itinerary

Þingvellir – The National Park

Explore Iceland’s most important historical site and one of its most remarkable geological wonders. Þingvellir is where the Icelandic parliament was founded in 930 and where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, creating dramatic landscapes and deep fissures.
Here you will also see Lake Þingvallavatn, Iceland’s largest natural lake, fed by crystal-clear water that travels underground for decades before emerging.

Brúarfoss – Waterfall

A peaceful and incredibly photogenic stop. Brúarfoss is famous for its striking blue color, created by glacial meltwater rushing through a narrow chute. It’s one of the Golden Circle’s hidden treasures and a favorite among nature lovers.

The Geyser area – Geothermal Park

Walk among steaming vents, boiling pools, and vibrant mineral springs in Iceland’s most active geothermal park. Watch Strokkur geyser erupt dramatically every 5–7 minutes — sometimes sending boiling water up to 40 meters into the air.
You will also encounter Blesi, a beautiful pair of contrasting hot springs, one crystal-clear and steaming, the other cold and vividly blue.

Gullfoss – The Golden Waterfall

Witness one of Iceland’s most powerful and iconic waterfalls. Fed by meltwater from the Langjökull glacier, Gullfoss crashes in two dramatic stages into a rugged canyon. On clear days you may even see the striking mountain ridge Jarlhettur in the distance, with Langjökull rising behind it.

Laugarás Lagoon – Relax in a Warm Geothermal Oasis

End your day with a rejuvenating soak in the beautiful Laugarás Lagoon.
Surrounded by calm countryside scenery, this geothermal lagoon is naturally heated year-round and offers a tranquil, intimate atmosphere — the perfect way to unwind after a day filled with sightseeing and adventure.
