One evening, you will join your hosts for dinner in their home. The meal is crafted by Kalle, Midgard’s head chef and brother-in-law. He is known for creative dishes that blend local Icelandic ingredients with flavors from his travels around the world.

A Message from Björg

These tours are for those who enjoy good company, open landscapes, and moments that matter. We will explore Iceland’s famous sights, but also our personal favorites: the valleys, trails, and tucked-away places that hold our best memories.

If you are traveling with a partner or friends who enjoy different things, that is perfectly fine. We are flexible, and Iceland has something for every pace and personality. All you really need is curiosity and a love for life.

We are looking for travelers who want to connect, not rush. People who enjoy stories around the table, hikes under open skies, and laughter that lasts long after the trip ends.

When we started Midgard Adventure in 2010, we often invited guests into our homes for coffee, cake, or a casual beer. Later, when we built Midgard Base Camp, our gatherings moved there. But we have missed that cozy, personal feeling. For this trip, we are bringing it back. You will join us at home for a special dinner, where Kalle, our in-house chef, will cook something special for the group.
