Enjoy the journey of a lifetime on this fantastic hiking experience in the glacier valley of Þórsmörk [Thorsmork], up to the Fimmvörðuháls pass. This is one of the world’s best treks; through volcanic landscapes and green moss. Þórsmörk is the last part of the famous Laugavegur trail, considered by many the most beautiful part. Expect to walk 4-7 hours per day on this guided 4-day tour with accommodation in a rustic mountain hut. The hikes are moderate to challenging with a total distance of 40 kilometres and a maximum ascent of 1000 metres.

Þórsmörk is known as a hiker’s paradise among Icelanders, as the region has breathtaking scenery, vast landscapes, and numerous hiking trails to follow. Þórsmörk, which was named after the Norse god Þór (Thor), is situated between three glaciers, Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull and Tindfjallajökull. In this relatively small area, you can cross rivers, hike mountains, walk along lava fields, and experience exquisite glacier views.

Booking a guided tour ensures your safe way with a professionally trained guide, who will show you the fantastic hidden gems these valleys treasure, such as the canyons, craters, and caves that only experienced locals know about. The 4-day adventure is topped off with a celebratory BBQ on the last night in your mountain hut with the group!
