Here, you’ll have the chance to explore the park’s many hiking trails and take in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

  • Lunch option 1 – Farm

Lunch option 1: In Efstidalur you will get a unique and different experience. Right in the middle of the Golden Circle, you get a glance of the farm life in Iceland. This family farm has opened up for tourists and offers a variety of products straight from the farm, such as their famous ice cream, skyr and feta cheese. The restaurant also offers beef from the farm and other local food.

  • Lunch option 2 – Tomatoe Green House

Lunch option 2: Tomatoes are the theme of Friðheimar cuisine – and that’s not surprising, since three different varieties of tomato are cultivated in the greenhouses, where food is served among the tomato plants. A unique food experience.

  • Second Stop – Geysir

At Geysir, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the powerful geysers and hot springs that give the area its name. The most famous geyser, Strokkur, erupts every few minutes, shooting a column of steam and boiling water high into the air.

  • Third Stop – Gullfoss

Gullfoss: one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls. As the water plunges into a deep canyon, it creates a dazzling display of mist and spray that is truly awe-inspiring.

  • Kerlingarfjöll

The Second day is dedicated to Kerlingarfjöll, a mountain range located in central Iceland, known for its stunning geological formations and vibrant hot springs. The area is characterised by colourful rhyolite mountains, steaming vents, bubbling mud pots, and glacial rivers.

We’ll drive as close as possible to the hiking area where you can experience the natural power and beauty of Iceland. Driving time is 5 hours, the remaining time is to explore the area.

  • First Stop – Kirkjufell

To reach the first stop your guide will take you on a long drive from the accommodation village to Kirkjufell. The route showcases views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Upon arriving at Kirkjufell, you can take in the magnificent beauty of the mountain and the adjacent waterfall, making it a popular spot for photography enthusiasts.

  • Second Stop – Arnarstapi

The second stop is Arnarstapi, a small fishing village where you’ll witness stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding cliffs. To reach the village your guide will take you on a thrilling drive through the F570 road from Kirkjufell to Arnarstapi.

The route showcases stunning views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and waterfalls; the road will take you at the bottom of Snæfellsjökull glacier. A must-see is the famous rock bridge, a natural arch formed by the erosion of the waves against the volcanic rocks.

It’s a picturesque spot for taking photos, keep your phone or camera ready!

  • Tthird Stop – Búðakirkja

The third stop is at Búðakirkja, a historic black church built in 1703; made of wood and originally painted white, it was coated with tar in the 19th century.

The unique black color, along with the picturesque backdrop of the ocean and nearby mountains, makes it a popular spot for photography.

  • Fourth Stop – Ytri Tunga

Ytri Tunga is the last stop on our tour. You can expect to see stunning views of the ocean and surrounding landscape, as well as the chance to spot seals basking in the sun on the beach.

It’s a peaceful and picturesque location that’s perfect for taking in the natural beauty of Iceland.

  • End of the Tour
After the amazing experience visiting the most astonishing place Iceland has to offer, it’s time to drive back to Reykjavík.

For a comfortable and enjoyable experience we recommend bringing a duffel bag or similar type of luggage as it is easier to transport during the tour. Make sure to pack appropriate outdoor clothing for the Icelandic climate, as the weather can be unpredictable. Layered clothing is always a good idea, and a waterproof jacket and pants are essential.

For footwear, we recommend bringing a pair of sturdy hiking shoes or boots, as there will be opportunities to explore the natural landscapes along the way. It's important to have comfortable shoes that can handle different types of terrain.

It's also important to note that this tour is casual, so there's no need to bring any fancy clothing. For dinner, we'll be going to pubs or local restaurants, so casual-sporty attire is perfectly acceptable.

It is also recommended to bring a small backpack to carry essentials such as a camera, gloves, snacks and drinks. Additionally, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat or other head covering can be useful to protect from the sun. It's also recommended to bring a refillable water bottle as well as a power bank or extra battery for electronic devices. Swim suits are highly recommend, there is always time for a relaxing bath in Iceland.

Overall, it's important to come prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear to ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience during the tour. Don't forget to bring a camera or phone to capture the amazing scenery along the way!

P.S.: if you need help or advices before to buy clothing or other equipments feel free to drop us a line, we’ll be more than happy to assist you remotely.
