Whale Watching – Private RIB boat adventure – max 12 passengers

A magnificent experience where you speed on the waves of the Atlantic Ocean in a powerful open RIB boat searching for whales.

You rent the boat for a private 2 hour whale watching RIB boat tour.

The RIB boat, BLIKI, is very well equipped and has seats for maximum 12 passengers. The boat is brand new (built 2023), has two 440 horsepower Volvo Penta engines, powerful stereo system that our customers can connect via Bluetooth (and blast) and padded suspension jockey seats with shock mitigation that reduces all vibrations and impacts making the journey unusually smooth and comfortable as well as reducing risk for injury.

RIB Adventures is a small family owned company located in Kópavogur. The owner, Robert, is the captain and he and his family aim to provide excellent and personal service. A warm floatable overalls, life jacket, googles, gloves and a multi scarf (buff) are provided.

We sail from Kópavogur harbor about 10 miles out from the shore. It takes about 15-25 minutes to get to the area where we expect to find some whales.

For about 60 minutes we experience the thrill of searching for whales in the ocean, preferably admire them and take pictures.

While sailing back to shore we play some music, and it is an option for our passengers to connect to the boats powerful stereo system via Bluetooth and blast their favorite music while we RIDE THAT WAVE!

We speed along the cost of Skerjafjörður and into Fossvogur. Close to the golden-sanded beach at Nauthólsvík we stop for some refreshments. The refreshments we offer are dried fish (harðfiskur), sparkling water and a bear (without alcohol).

From Fossvogur it takes only couple of minutes to sail back to the harbor. The captain allows the passengers to feel the power of the RIB boat BLIKI and the goal is that our passengers return to the harbor thrilled and happy.

We recommend wearing warm or comfortable clothes, warm socks, good shoes (sneakers or hiking boots) and a scarf/buff.
