Whale & Puffin Tour
Iceland is home to more than half of the world’s population of puffins. One of their largest colonies is to be found on Lundey, the puffin island. Our trip up North towards the island takes us along the shoreline until the first puffins come in sight. During the summer season around 200.000 puffins breed on this rather small island. We will go as close as possible, just drift close to the island’s reefs and give you all the time you need to get good pictures.
Followed by this we will head back into the bay where the best feeding grounds of the whales are to be found. Be ready for close encounters with Humpback whales and if you are lucky some of the other species to be found in these waters. We will keep our eyes open for dolphins, Minke whales and the amazing bird life, too.
