Now here is a chance to go from Beginner to Intermediate rider. The tour takes us through some of Northern Iceland most beautiful valleys, mountain ranges and meadows.

On this tour, you have multiple opportunities to tölt your horse, a special gait known to Icelandic horses.

Adventurous? Then this is the tour for you. Ride through the breathtaking mountains and valleys to a traditional Icelandic cottage, try the local delicacies and enjoy the company of your horse and the wind in your hair. If you want to tölt your horse then this tour will let you try not only tölting but potentially all 5 gaits. You will try 2-3 of our horses for the Turf house tour. Food and refreshments will be supplied.

This full day tours will consist of a brief introduction and orientation to riding Icelandic horses. Then we set out for riding depending on weather conditions. The journey will take us across meadows, through mountain passes and to the beautiful Baugasel Turf house. We then return to Stable Stop for unmounting, photo opportunities with your noble steed and some light refreshments.

The tour takes us through some of Northern Iceland’s most beautiful valleys, mountain ranges and meadows.

There is a sign by road 1. that says Ytri Bægisá. You drive up the road towards the mountain you will pass one farm you do not stop there you keep on driving until you come to a parking lot where the church is there you stop.
