About the Total Eclipse

On August 12, 2026, Iceland will experience a total solar eclipse as the moon passes between the Earth and the sun. For about 2 minutes and 30 seconds, the sun’s corona will create a magical halo effect—a rare and unforgettable sight!

Pick Up

We'll pick you up from a designated location in Reykjavik and head directly to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Iceland’s top spot for the eclipse. The drive takes around 3 hours, offering scenic views of mountains, lava fields, and coastlines.

Finding the Perfect Spot

Our guides will choose the best location for viewing the eclipse, considering weather conditions. You’ll have time to set up your camera and relax before the eclipse begins.

Enjoy the Moment!

The eclipse will peak at 5:48 PM, plunging us into an otherworldly twilight. Enjoy the spectacle and share the experience with fellow eclipse chasers. Afterward, we’ll head back to Reykjavik, arriving late in the evening.
